Armed Man Threatens to Detonate Grenade in Gyumri

Officers from the Kumayri Division of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Shirak Regional Patrol Service successfully neutralized an armed citizen in the yard of a residence located at 18 Myasnikyan Street in Gyumri. This was reported by shamshyan.com.

According to the reports, the individual, identified as 53-year-old Hamlet M. from the Shirak region, was experiencing family issues, and if the police had not intervened, he might have detonated the grenade.

The grenade was located in the yard of his home, prompting the police to cordon off the area and await the arrival of the Gyumri Fire and Rescue Squad No. 48 and special explosives disposal units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
