The 70-year-old opposition leader appeared at the same court where he was arrested on Tuesday. His arrest triggered a wave of nationwide protests. During the demonstrations, supporters of Imran Khan attacked military installations, set vehicles on fire, including ambulances, and looted shops in various parts of the country.
The government responded with crackdowns, arresting around 3,000 individuals.
