Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers to Meet in Moscow on May 19

The meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan is scheduled to take place in Moscow on May 19. This was announced by Deputy Foreign Minister Paruir Hovhannisyan during a press briefing.

It is worth noting that prior to the Moscow meeting, a meeting at the level of the heads of state is planned in Brussels on May 14.

When asked whether the Moscow meeting will be a logical continuation of the Brussels discussions, the deputy minister stated that in some respects it will be a logical continuation, but each format has its own unique characteristics.

Another high-level meeting is expected on June 1 in Chișinău, although Baku has not yet confirmed its participation. This meeting will be a repetition of the Prague format, involving the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the President of the European Council, and the President of France.

According to Hovhannisyan, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is also expected to participate.
