VIDEO: "The salaries of servicemen will double as a result of the certification," says Pashinyan

By the government's decision, new assessment criteria for the certification results of contract servicemen were established, along with new allowances based on the received grades, as well as the procedure for calculating allowances for servicemen based on the results of the new certification conducted under the law.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, responding to this decision, stated, "As a result of the certification in the Armed Forces, salaries should at least double. We have set certification standards whereby the salary of those who excel will be doubled. In recent months, preparations for the certification process have been underway."

According to Pashinyan, in the case of receiving an excellent score, the salary for officer ranks will increase: "If they are currently receiving 350,000 drams before taxes, after certification they will receive 700,000 drams; if they are receiving 400,000 drams, they will get 800,000 drams. We are also adding two more points: the salary will increase by 420,000 drams for a 'good' score, and by 230,000 drams for a 'satisfactory' score, taxes included."

Suren Papikyan also noted that enlisted personnel (including those on combat duty) will receive 321,910 drams for a 'satisfactory' score, 430,910 drams for a 'good' score, and 470,910 drams for an excellent score. "For instance, a colonel will receive 737,760 drams for a 'satisfactory' score while performing combat duties, and 923,260 drams for an excellent score."

According to Nikol Pashinyan, people are preparing for certification, which leads to a more intense process of combat readiness and increases the attractiveness of contract military service.
