The Situation in Bakhmut is Developing According to the Worst-Case Scenario: Prigozhin

The leader of the Wagner private military group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, stated that in Bakhmut, particularly in the remote flanks, "the situation is developing according to the worst-case scenario." Previously, Prigozhin had reported that due to the counteroffensive of Ukrainian forces from one of the positions around Bakhmut, Russian troops retreated and conceded about two kilometers of territory to the Ukrainian armed forces.

According to the leader of Wagner, the control of the flanks has been transferred to the regular Russian army, which has been unable to hold the line. Later, these reports were confirmed by the command of the Ukrainian armed forces. Prigozhin mentioned that in the very city of Bakhmut, where units of the military grouping are operating, Russian forces continue to advance towards the western outskirts of the city, which is "within 625 meters."
