Shooting Heard in the Morning Fields, but Situation in Village Remains Calm: Former Kuth Leader

"We hear gunshots, but they are not firing at the village," said Sim Chitchyan, the former head of the Kuth community, in an interview with 24News.

“We are at home with our children, waiting; they shot in the fields in the morning, but the situation in the village is still calm,” added Chitchyan.

Grigor Avagyan, the head of the Kuth village administrative district, also stated that the situation is normal at the moment.

It is reported that since 06:00 this morning, Azerbaijani armed forces have opened artillery and mortar fire towards the Armenian positions located in the direction of Sotk.

As of 08:00, Azerbaijani armed forces continue their shelling towards the Armenian positions in the Sotk area.

The Armenian side reported three wounded by 08:00. Azerbaijani forces even fired at an ambulance transporting an injured serviceman.

The Armenian Armed Forces units are taking appropriate defensive and preventive measures. The Ministry of Defense will issue additional statements.
