Shooting at Mercedes-Benz Factory in Germany Leaves Two Dead
In a shooting incident at the Mercedes-Benz factory in southwestern Germany, two people have been killed, according to local police. A 53-year-old man entered the Sindelfingen factory's production hall and opened fire on two 44-year-old men. One victim died at the scene, while the other succumbed to injuries later in the hospital.
Security personnel detained the suspect and turned him over to the police, who arrested him without resistance, law enforcement officials reported.
“We are deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic news from Sindelfingen this morning. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all colleagues at the site,” stated Mercedes-Benz in an announcement.
Mercedes-Benz produces its luxury S-Class model at the Sindelfingen factory, which employs around 35,000 people.
