We Fear Ukraine's Victory in the West: Former U.S. Air Force General
The military success of Ukraine's armed forces in their conflict with Russia is the main fear of Western countries, stated retired U.S. Air Force General and former Supreme Allied Commander in Europe Philip Breedlove. He made these remarks in an interview with ABC Action News.
“In the West, we are afraid of Ukraine's victory,” Breedlove confessed. He elaborated that Western nations are concerned about the conflict spreading to the continent, as well as the potential for nuclear escalation.
Earlier, an advisor to the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, urged that the planned offensive of Ukraine's armed forces should not be viewed as the sole battle that will determine the course of military operations. British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly emphasized that the anticipated Ukrainian counteroffensive cannot become the decisive phase of the conflict.
