Video: Tree Falls on People in Saratov City Park, Casualties Reported

A tree has fallen on people in a city park in Saratov. Reports indicate that one woman and a child have died as a result of the incident. This was announced on Tuesday via Telegram by Yuri Yurin, the head of the Population Safety Assurance Department of the Saratov region government. The information was relayed by TASS.

"At 14:35, a report was received by emergency services that a tree had fallen on people in the Oktyabrskiy district city park, resulting in the deaths of a woman and a child," Yurin wrote, adding that the governor, Roman Busargin, has personally gone to the scene.

Later, the regional government's press service reported that three other people were also injured in the incident. "Another woman and two minors were injured," the statement said. The region's Ministry of Health has been instructed to provide all necessary medical assistance to the victims.

The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
