The United Kingdom Prepares to Supply Ukraine with Long-Range Missiles

The authorities of the United Kingdom are preparing to transfer long-range missiles to Kyiv, reports the American newspaper The Washington Post, citing a document published by the International Fund for Ukraine (IFU).

It is noted that the IFU is managed by the UK Ministry of Defence, and the fund includes participation from countries in Northern Europe.

According to agency sources, a final decision on this matter has not yet been made.

In a procurement notice published by the International Fund for Ukraine on May 2, the UK's Ministry of Defence requested expressions of interest in providing strike capabilities of up to 300 kilometers or approximately 200 miles.

The notice required responses within a three-day timeframe, as stated in the publication.

A source from the agency clarified that, based on the required specifications, it becomes clear that these could be British Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles.

Journalists also referenced classified documents from the Pentagon, which confirm that US intelligence has validated Britain's plans to send an unspecified number of similar missiles to Ukraine.
