Leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to Meet in Brussels on Sunday, Followed by Kishinev: Secretary of the Security Council
The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, addressed the meeting that took place last week in Washington between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Commenting on the joint statement by the ministers which noted that the positions of the parties on key issues remain divergent, Grigoryan said, 'There is a well-known principle in negotiations: as long as everything is not agreed upon, nothing is agreed upon. We need to approach these negotiations from that perspective.'
According to him, there has been progress on certain issues, but these are not the most fundamental ones. He reminded that the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet on Sunday in Brussels, and this meeting will continue in Kishinev. 'French President Macron and German Chancellor Scholz will join. We will try to work towards narrowing our approaches and making progress,' he added.
