It is Currently Impossible to Achieve Peace in Ukraine, Says UN Secretary-General

In an interview with El Pais, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that it is currently impossible to achieve peace in Ukraine. He remarked, “At this moment, I do not see the possibility of an immediate acquisition of peace; we are not talking about the future—about a global ceasefire or peace negotiations.”

The Secretary emphasized that there is still dialogue with both sides to address specific issues. In this context, he noted that a significant achievement has been the export of grain from Ukraine, as well as the export of food and fertilizers from Russia via the Black Sea.
