26-Year-Old Prosecutor Becomes Author of Major Accident While Intoxicated; Russian Women in Car Transported to Hospital
Today, on May 9, a major car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 02:10, 26-year-old Arman Matevosyan, a resident of Vayots Dzor Province, crashed his Tesla vehicle with registration number 04 SO 001 into a tree near 1 Tigran Mets Avenue, then continued forward and collided with a parked Mitsubishi owned by 36-year-old Gevorg Galstyan, and further proceeded to end up near the passport control point of the Government of Armenia, partially in a pedestrian area.
At the scene, police officers attempted for several hours to subject the Tesla driver to sobriety testing, but he continually claimed to be feeling unwell, stating he was unable to cooperate, and demanded an ambulance. The police called for an ambulance twice on his behalf, and he twice refused to even approach the doctors.
Hours later, the driver underwent sobriety testing, and it was revealed that he was indeed intoxicated.
