Sargis Stepanyan Will Not Participate in the World Para Athletics Championship

The Paralympic Committee has issued a statement presenting the list of participants for the 2023 World Para Athletics Grand Prix, which notably did not include the name of Sargis Stepanyan, the President of the Armenian Federation of Sports for the Disabled, and a multiple world and European champion. This absence comes despite Stepanyan having applied for registration back in December of last year.

This information was shared by Voskanyan Margaryan, Acting Secretary of the Armenian Federation of Sports for the Disabled, on his Facebook page. Margaryan posted photos and disclosed that his complaint regarding the illegal obstruction of Stepanyan's participation had resulted in the blocking of Stepanyan’s account.
