One of the Azerbaijanis who infiltrated Armenia sentenced to 11.5 years in prison
A judgment has been reached in the case of one of the two Azerbaijanis who infiltrated Armenia, Agshin Babirov.
In response to a question from the News Agency, the prosecutor's office reported that the Syunik region's court of general jurisdiction sentenced Babirov to 11 years and 5 months in prison.
The Azerbaijani soldier was found guilty of illegally crossing the border and illegally transporting weapons and military equipment across the state border. He has accepted the charges against him.
The investigation into the second soldier, Husayn Akhundov, is ongoing. Akhundov is also accused of murdering a guard at the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine.
