Azerbaijanis Vandalize Central Library in Hadrut
The director of the Av. Isahakyan Central Library in Hadrut, Varsik Amirjanyan, has reported that the building is no longer standing, as noted in a video released by Azerbaijani media. This information has been shared by Artsakhpress.
“The Hadrut Central Library building was constructed in 1932. The video published by the Azerbaijanis shows that almost nothing remains of the library building,” stated the library director.
According to data from 2020, the library's collection included approximately 39,720 books. “We had around 750-800 readers. Currently, there is no information about the book collection,” noted V. Amirjanyan, adding that they plan to appeal to the State Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Artsakh to raise the issue of Azerbaijan’s cultural vandalism at international forums.
