Iran Continues to Respond Calmly and Reservedly to Accusations from Azerbaijan
Political analyst Zhanna Vardanyan informs via the Telegram channel 'Iran Today' that Iran continues to respond calmly and reservedly to the accusations coming from Azerbaijan.
Today, Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani, addressing Ilham Aliyev's recent statements, noted that the ties between the two peoples are inviolable and that no steps should be taken that do not serve the interests of both countries.
“We want to give diplomacy a chance. Statements made from podiums do not contribute to resolving the issue. We emphasize the necessity of maintaining friendship. We must not allow parties that wish to increase tension between Tehran and Baku to take advantage of the situation,” said the spokesman.
He also confirmed the news about the expulsion of Azerbaijani diplomats, stating that this was done in response to Azerbaijan's unconstructive step of expelling Iranian diplomats.
