China's Foreign Ministry Calls on Washington to Cease Support for Separatism in Taiwan

The Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang has urged Washington to stop supporting separatist forces in Taiwan during a meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to China, Nicholas Burns. This was reported by РИА Новости, citing Chinese central television.

"The United States must properly address the Taiwan issue and cease to undermine the One China principle," the Chinese minister stated.

Earlier reports indicated that the U.S. is preparing to expedite the transfer of $500 million worth of weapons to Taiwan. There was also information that a California-based company has received a contract from the Pentagon to produce four drones for Taiwan.
