At Least 394 People Killed in Floods in Congo
At least 394 people have died as a result of floods and landslides in Congo. This was reported by an official from the Kalemie district, which suffered the most damage.
Due to heavy rains over the weekend, rivers in South Kivu burst their banks, sweeping away hundreds of homes. A day of mourning has been declared on May 8 for the victims.
