How Many Armenian Citizens Obtained Russian Citizenship in 2023?

In the first quarter of 2023, more than 106,000 foreign citizens obtained Russian citizenship, according to the Interfax news agency, citing the press center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the reported statistics, 44,800 citizens of Tajikistan received Russian citizenship from January to March 2023. Residents of Ukraine follow in second place with 22,000 individuals obtaining citizenship.

During the specified time period, 8,900 citizens from Armenia, 6,900 from Kazakhstan, 5,400 from Kyrgyzstan, 4,600 from Uzbekistan, 3,700 from Azerbaijan, 3,000 from Moldova, 2,300 from Belarus, and 912 from Turkmenistan were granted Russian citizenship.
