Seventeen-Year-Old Arrested for Shooting at School Windows

On May 3, a citizen called the operational management center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, reporting that there were gunshot marks on the window of the educational complex on Babajanyan Street.

An operational group from the Malatya division of the police was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that from April 15 to May 3, an unknown individual had deliberately damaged the windows of the educational complex using an air pistol, causing 200,000 drams in damage. A criminal case has been initiated.

As a result of joint measures taken by the officials of the Yerevan City Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Malatya division, it was established that the act was committed by a 17-year-old resident of Babajanyan Street. He was found, arrested, and taken to the police division on May 4.

Measures are being taken to locate the air pistol used in the incident. An investigation is underway.
