Over 70 Percent of Countries Unable to Ensure Their Own Security, Says Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, met with representatives of the Armenian community in the Czech Republic. In response to a question regarding preparedness for war, the Prime Minister stated that it is inappropriate to discuss sensitive security matters in public.
“We should talk about how we can manage the situation,” he said. On the other hand, according to the Prime Minister, armies must always be ready for war, even in countries that do not face an immediate threat of conflict.
“Over 70 percent of countries in the world are unable to ensure their own security. I said 70 percent rather softly. We can count on our fingers the countries that are capable of securing their own safety,” he added. In this context, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that there is only one guarantee for security—peace.
