Dead Body of Man Found in Pit in Gyumri

On May 5, a tragic incident occurred in the Shirak region. At approximately 09:30, the operational management center of the Shirak Regional Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia received a report that in the area of the intersection of Avetik Isahakyan and Stepan Shahumyan streets in Gyumri, there was a body in a pit, reports Shamshyan.

Police and investigators discovered the body of a man in the indicated pit. According to the initial conclusion of the forensic expert, no signs of violence were found on the body upon external examination.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Shirak Regional Investigative Department on the grounds of murder. By the investigator's decision, a forensic examination of the body has been scheduled. The police and investigative department are working to establish the identity of the deceased.
