Cargo Can Be Freely Transported from Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan, as Well as Turkey: Simonian

In a press briefing held in Ankara, the Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Alen Simonian, addressed the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, stating that he sees no obstacle to opening up trade in the region.

“Cargo and people can move freely from Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan, as well as to Turkey, of course, taking into account the legislation and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia,” Simonian noted.

The Speaker of the National Assembly also mentioned that they have continuously proposed to Azerbaijan to mirror pull back troops from the border.
“I believe that establishing peace in this region is impossible without Turkey, and we are hopeful that Turkey will take effective steps toward achieving peace in this region,” he said.
