2 Tons of Cocaine in Spain Not Missed by Law Enforcement

Spain's law enforcement agencies have seized 2 tons of cocaine as part of an operation against illegal drug trafficking. This was reported on the website of the Spanish police, according to TASS agency.

It was noted that authorities have detained 8 individuals. The criminal group was supplying cocaine from South America to the port of Vigo in Spain's autonomous community of Galicia. The drugs were hidden in banana boxes. During transportation, the criminals utilized regular commercial routes.

The police conducted 8 searches, during which they confiscated €58,000 in cash.
