Czech Republic Supports EU Stance on Lachin Corridor, Says Petr Fiala
During a press conference summarizing the discussions between the Prime Ministers of Armenia and the Czech Republic, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala stated that the Czech Republic is not ignoring the issues and challenges faced by Armenia.
“We are aware of the difficult situation—political, security, and geographical. We are concerned about the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, caused by the blockade of the Lachin corridor,” said Prime Minister Fiala.
According to him, the Czech Republic is in agreement with the European Union on this issue. They are committed to taking all possible steps to establish peace and stability in Nagorno-Karabakh and throughout the Caucasus region.
“Regarding territorial integrity and the discussions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, we emphasize the importance of signing a peace agreement that will be acceptable to all parties involved,” highlighted the Czech Prime Minister.
Earlier, we reported that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived in the Czech Republic for an official two-day visit with his wife, Anna Hakobyan.
