Video: Smoking Drivers on Buses to be Dismissed

The Yerevan municipality will dismiss drivers who smoke in public transport. Hovhannes Manukyan, director of Yerevan Bus LLC, stated that a punishment has already been applied to one employee.

"It was confirmed that the driver behaved poorly. He said to give him change and refused to let it be put in the box. He smoked a cigarette and threw it out," Manukyan said, referring to a widely circulated video on the internet.

The municipality also requires drivers to maintain a neat appearance, be polite to passengers, and refrain from using their phones while driving.
