VIDEO: Homemade Device Explodes in Melitopol, Official Hospitalized

A homemade device exploded in Melitopol when the deputy head of the National Police's Main Directorate for the Zaporizhzhia region opened the gates of his residence to leave for work. This information was reported by the Investigative Committee of Russia.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the encroachment on the life of the official (under Article 222.1, part 1, and Article 317 of the Russian Criminal Code). It is noted that the incident occurred today near one of the residential buildings on Pirogov Street. Following the explosion, the man was hospitalized.

Law enforcement authorities are identifying individuals connected to the crime.
