VIDEO: Large-Scale Protests and Clashes in France

Approximately 782,000 people participated in protests against pension reforms in France on May Day. This information was reported by BFM, referencing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to media reports, around 112,000 people took to the streets of Paris. Meanwhile, the General Confederation of Labour reported a different figure, stating that the number of protesters amounted to 2.3 million, with 550,000 in the capital city.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs indicated that at least 180 people were arrested across the country, including 60 in Paris. During the demonstration in the city, one police officer suffered serious burns. In Lyon, clashes led to injuries among 22 individuals, including 16 law enforcement officers.
