A 206-Kilometer Electronic Barrier Built on the Polish-Belarusian Border

The construction of a nearly 206-kilometer long electronic barrier along the Polish-Belarusian border has been completed. This information was reported by iz.ru. The barrier is equipped with cameras and motion detection devices, said Anna Michalska, spokesperson for the Polish Border Guard.

According to her, only 150 meters of the last section remain to be built, but the natural landscape in this area is obstructing the construction of the barrier. “Almost the entire barrier is already operational, and we have recordings of everything happening at the border. We have documented numerous cases of illegal border crossings,” Michalska noted.

As emphasized by the spokesperson of the Polish Border Guard, the barrier will allow border guards to objectively assess the number of attempts to breach the country’s territory.
