Video: Death Toll in Uman Reaches 19

As previously reported, an air alert has been declared in Ukraine. In the city of Uman, residential buildings and warehouses have been shelled. According to the latest reports, 19 people have died due to the impact of a Russian missile or debris from a downed missile hitting a multi-story building, including one child. More than a dozen people have been injured. This was announced by Igor Klimenko, head of Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Rescue operations are ongoing. “As a result of the missile attack on Uman, about 10 multi-apartment buildings are damaged. In one of them, the entrance has been completely destroyed. People remain trapped under the rubble. Unfortunately, there are injured and deceased, including a child,” stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Uman is located in central Ukraine, far from the front lines.
