Russia and Turkey to Create Payment System for Russian Tourists
Russia and Turkey are working on a payment system that will allow Russian tourists to use bank cards in the Republic. This was reported on Friday by the Hurriyet newspaper.
According to the publication, which cites sources in the Turkish presidential administration, the issue of creating a payment system was discussed during talks between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As per Hurriyet, the payment system will be called Rebit. After its launch, Russian tourists will be able to install an app on their mobile phones that will enable them to use bank cards in Turkey.
It is noteworthy that on April 27, Putin had a phone conversation with Erdoğan. During the conversation, the Turkish leader proposed that the Russian President work on new initiatives regarding grain deal transactions and create a working group.
