Preliminary Results of the Census Released

As of October 13, 2022, the permanent population of Armenia is 2,928,914, while the total population during the same period stands at 2,638,917. This information was provided by the Armenian Statistical Committee, which presented the preliminary results of the census.

Compared to the previous census conducted in 2011, the number of permanent residents in Armenia has decreased by 89,940 in 2022, and by 284,097 compared to 2001. In 2011, the permanent population of Armenia was 3,213,011, whereas in 2001, it was 3,018,854.

It is noteworthy that the census in Armenia was held from October 13 to 22, 2022.
