Lissagor Mayor and 6 Residents Stranded in Goris Due to Closure of Hakari Bridge

As a result of Azerbaijan's closure of the Hakari Bridge, Lissagor Mayor Gagik Nasibyan and six other residents are stranded in Goris and unable to return. Nasibyan shared this information in a conversation with NEWS.am.

“At this moment, there is no urgent need for food or medicine in our village. People are relying on stored food, and I believe it will be enough for about twenty days, depending on how we manage it and how future events unfold,” stated Nasibyan.

According to him, there are no elderly people in the village in need of permanent medication, but there are three newborns facing issues with baby formula. “We have contacted the Red Cross to deliver food, and I believe we will receive a response soon,” he added.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani side has once again grossly violated the provisions of the tripartite declaration from 2020 and continues to spread disinformation regarding the transfer of weapons from Armenia to Artsakh, having closed the Hakari Bridge, which is located on the border between Armenia and Artsakh. Following Azerbaijan's establishment of a checkpoint at the border with the Republic of Armenia, residents of the villages of Yeghtsahogh, Hin Shen, Mets Shen, and Lissagor in the Shushi region of the Republic of Artsakh have been completely besieged, cut off from both Stepanakert and the possibility of traveling to the Republic of Armenia.
