Gunfire Reported in Gyumri, 15 Shell Casings Found: Details

Today, on April 28, gunfire was reported in the Shirak region. Around 09:40 AM, the Shirak regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia received a call indicating that shots had been fired on the road leading to the Boulevard neighborhood at 1 Mendeleev Street in Gyumri. The police discovered approximately 15 shell casings fired from an automatic weapon, as well as gunshot traces on the metal and glass parts of a booth. A criminal case has been initiated by the investigative department regarding the incident.

The police and the investigative department are working to determine whether there are any citizens injured from the gunfire and are undertaking necessary operational investigative measures to clarify the circumstances of the incident, identify the perpetrator(s), and recover the weapon used in the crime.
