Significant Quantity of Suspicious Substances Found in a Musical Instrument

The operatives and security personnel of the "Nubarashen" Penitentiary Institution of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia conducted a search of a musical instrument brought as a gift for inmate D. P. on April 26 at approximately 15:50, acting on previously obtained operational information. This was reported by the penitentiary service.

During the search, 9 micro-components were discovered inside the musical instrument, filled with substances resembling various types of narcotics. Specifically, 7 of the micro-components contained greenish mass resembling marijuana, weighing a total of 16 grams. The remaining micro-components included white crystalline substances weighing 0.9 grams, dark brown powder weighing 5.3 grams, and a dark brown, dried substance weighing 5.9 grams.

The discovered narcotics have been handed over to the investigative division of the administrative regions of Erebuni and Nubarashen in Yerevan, and a criminal case has been initiated.
