Pensioners Can Now Choose Their Bank Online

Pensioners can now choose their bank online. The government today adopted a draft amendment to the procedure for paying pensions.

Previously, a bank was automatically selected for pension receipt through a program module of the social security service for those receiving pensions in a non-cash manner. To choose a bank, an application had to be submitted to the territorial division of the social services.

According to the accepted decision, pensioners can now apply online.

It is worth noting that pension payments in a non-cash manner, that is, through a bank, are mandatory in Armenia for all pensioners under 75 years old who are not classified as first or second group disabled.
