Defense Ministry Purchases Watches Worth 11.735 Million Drams: 'Hraparak'
The Defense Ministry signed a contract with 'AWU Group' LLC on April 13 and purchased symbolic gifts, specifically watches of the AWI brand, with a total cost of 11.735 million drams. For this amount, the defense department acquired 713 watches of varying values, ranging from 9,000 drams to 68-75,000 drams.
Notably, the purchase was conducted through a single-source procurement procedure. This was reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak'.
'The watches produced by this company are also worn by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and furthermore, watches are ordered and purchased from here for the purpose of being given as personal gifts from the Prime Minister. In other words, the company has substantial support from the authorities and enjoys a privileged status.'
