The Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex gathered 358 athletes from 40 European countries under one roof. The men's team, led by head coach Pashik Alaverdyan, won 4 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals. The head coach highly appreciated the fact that all 10 members of the Armenian men's team became medalists.

In a conversation with reporters on April 26, the coach talked about successes, victories, and challenges. Commenting on the athletes' health, the coach noted: “Simon has just recovered. We concluded that he could lift even more. Despite this, Simon Martirosyan is one of those athletes who can lift any kilogram if he is disciplined and diligent, provided his injuries do not hinder him. As for Andranik Karapetyan, there is no one close to the kilograms he lifted in his weight category.”
