Experimental Flight from Yerevan to Kapan and Back Scheduled for Today

Today at 10:00 AM, an experimental flight from Yerevan to Kapan and back is scheduled to take place using an L410 aircraft, according to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.

The ministry stated that the flight will involve testing airport approach schemes.

Back in November 2021, the government announced that it would allocate funds to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure for compensating damages to the "Syunik" airport.

The justification stated that the Civil Aviation Committee had received a relevant request from the airline "NOVAIR" to operate regular flights from Yerevan to Kapan and back. The commencement of flights was planned for January 20, 2022, with a frequency of two flights per week.
