Delegations from Paris and Val-de-Marne Bar Associations Visit Tegh Village
The Chamber of Advocates of Armenia hosted delegations from the Bar Associations of Paris and Val-de-Marne. At their request, the President of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia, Simon Babayan, initiated a visit to the Tegh community in the Syunik province.
Accompanied by Armenian colleagues, the delegation from France included President Julie Coutugien, Vice President Vincent Niore, Council member Emmanuel Escagh de Romanovski, President Isabelle Klane de Lamani, Vice President Fabien Arakelyan from the Bar Association of Val-de-Marne, and former President Michel Gishagh. They visited the Syunik region to familiarize themselves with the situation in Armenian border villages that are under direct fire from Azerbaijan.
In the Tegh community, the French colleagues noted that Azerbaijan has closed the road passing through Kornidzor, which is the only alternative route connecting Armenia to Artsakh. In interviews, they expressed their intention to raise the documented situation in France as a gross violation of international law. They condemned Azerbaijani aggression against Armenia's sovereign territory and the normal life of the Armenian people.
Representatives from the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia also introduced the visiting delegation to historical and cultural sites in Armenia, including churches. The visitors were impressed by the history of Noravank and the splendid nature of Syunik.
