Britain to Evacuate Its Citizens from Sudan

Taking advantage of a 72-hour ceasefire opportunity, several countries are looking to evacuate their citizens from Sudan. London has announced that the evacuation of British citizens will be organized from an airport located outside the Sudanese capital, Khartoum. Priority will be given to children, women, the elderly, and those with health issues.

The UK Ministry of Defence has released footage showing military personnel departing from a Cypriot airbase on a military aircraft to ensure the evacuation of British citizens from Sudan. There are approximately 4,000 British citizens in Sudan. Last Saturday, with the help of military personnel, embassy staff and their families were evacuated. The government has faced criticism for not providing adequate assistance to Britons who remain in Sudan.
