Tragic Car Accident in Chayni Bend: Casualties and Injuries Reported

Today, April 21, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. At approximately 11:20 AM, a Porsche Cayenne vehicle veered off the roadway while traveling on the Yerevan-Sevan highway at the 26 km mark, near the beginning of the Chayni bends. The car left the road, rolled several times over a distance of about 350 meters, and ended up in a gorge. This information was reported by shamshyan.com.

As a result of the accident, one individual died at the scene, with the body found outside the vehicle, approximately 100 meters away in the gorge. Three others sustained injuries and were taken to the 'Abovyan' medical center.

The rescue teams, facing significant difficulties, retrieved the body with the use of ropes and brought it closer to the hearse, in coordination with patrol officers. According to the source, before the body was extracted, a report was received at the Kotayk Police Department from the 'Abovyan' medical center indicating that one of the injured, who had been unconscious, had died.
