Collective Security Treaty Organization Reveals Terms Offered to Armenia for Support
The draft of the CSTO document regarding assistance to Armenia includes not only sending an observation mission to the border with Azerbaijan. This was stated by the CSTO secretariat in response to an inquiry from Armenia Today.
According to the source, in addition to the mission, the project also contained other terms; however, the CSTO did not disclose what they are and whether military-technical assistance is among them, citing the confidentiality of the document.
“On April 13, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, told CivilNet that the assistance proposed by the CSTO primarily pertains to sending observers to Armenia and does not foresee military-technical aid. He clarified that this refers to appointing one colonel from each CSTO member state within the framework of the mission,” Grigoryan explained.
“Armenia is currently searching for arms and ammunition everywhere. It cannot be the case that Armenia is offered assistance in the form of weapons and ammunition somewhere, and it refuses that,” Grigoryan added.
