Sharmazanov Reveals What Pashinyan Said During the First Days of the War
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will certainly be held accountable for state treason. This statement was made by Edvard Sharmazanov from the Republican Party of Armenia during a discussion organized by the "Security and Democracy" civic organization.
“Yes, he must be tried, and let me explain why. In the first days of the war, we were receiving alarming information. On October 12, 2020, a meeting was held at the government office with representatives of extra-parliamentary forces, where Pashinyan presented a report indicating that it was becoming obvious that we were losing and heading toward defeat.
On that day, Hadrut had already been lost. I directly asked him how the situation was, and he replied, ‘It’s not good; we are heading toward defeat.’ I asked him, ‘Who can stop the war, can Russia do it?’ He responded affirmatively that Russia could. I then asked, ‘So why did you gather us, go and ask Russia to stop it?’ On October 19, he gathered us again and announced that the war had been lost. On that day, he told us that Putin had offered to stop the war, and Aliyev had already agreed to it. I also asked what was proposed to stop the war, and he replied that they proposed 5+2. This means, folks, that this deal did not include neither Shushi nor Hadrut nor others. The Zap was there, let him take it to the square,” he added.
