VIDEO: "Speak Correctly Now" - Police to Protestor Amid Tense Situation Outside Government

Residents of the Firdus neighborhood in Yerevan staged another protest today, April 21, outside the Armenian government's building, demanding appropriate compensation for their properties. It is noted that back in 2015, the government decided to demolish several houses and warehouses in the Firdus neighborhood for the sake of public interest. Most residents received compensation, but some believe the amount offered is inadequate and refuse to leave their homes.

Last week, on April 14, residents were promised by the Armenian government that a response to the property owners' letter, sent almost a month ago, would be given by April 18. However, they have yet to receive any response.

Today, they are demanding answers to their letter and are voicing concerns about the violation of property owners’ rights.

During discussions, tensions escalated between police and protesters, with the latter describing police actions as provocative.
