The Situation in the South Caucasus Remains Complicated and Volatile: CSTO Secretary General
On April 19, CSTO Secretary General Imankali Tasmagambetov held a consultation attended by representatives of state authorities as well as experts from leading Russian scientific organizations. Tasmagambetov addressed the situation at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and the conditions in Nagorno-Karabakh, assessing the geopolitical landscape in the South Caucasus.
“The situation in the South Caucasus remains no less complicated and volatile. The risks associated with the circumstances in both Nagorno-Karabakh and along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border are still relevant today,” Tasmagambetov stated.
