SpaceX's Heaviest Rocket Test Ends in Failure

The super-heavy "Starship" rocket, designed for missions to the Moon and Mars, failed to reach orbit following its test flight on Thursday, according to data from SpaceX, the developing company.

The launch took place from SpaceX's Starbase launch pad in Boca Chica, located in southeastern Texas.

Video footage indicates that the rocket began to spin out of control and exploded a few minutes after liftoff.

The reusable rocket system consists of the Ship 24 spacecraft and the Super Heavy booster. Its height reaches 120 meters, making it taller than any other rocket ever built in the world.

The test flight was conducted in an unmanned mode, with the intention of the spacecraft completing one orbit around the Earth during the first flight.
