A Rare Solar Eclipse Will Occur Today

A rare hybrid solar eclipse will take place on the morning of April 20. In certain parts of the Earth, people will be able to witness the complete disappearance of the sun, while in other locations, the eclipse will be annular. This was reported by the Starwalk.space portal on April 19.

This type of solar eclipse occurs approximately once a decade. It is known that the next similar event will take place on November 14, 2031.

According to Yerevan time, this rare astronomical phenomenon will begin at 08:17. The total eclipse will be visible from East Timor, parts of Western Papua, and the Exmouth Peninsula in Western Australia. Residents of Indonesia, the Philippines, and Southeast Asia will be able to see the partial phase.
