Luis Bono Visits Azerbaijan and Armenia: Discussion with Pashinyan
The aggressive policies and bellicose rhetoric of Azerbaijan towards the people of Nagorno-Karabakh and the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia are unacceptable. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan while receiving Luis Bono, Senior Advisor on Caucasus Negotiations and American Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group. The information was reported by the Prime Minister's press service.
“The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the efforts made by the U.S. administration to ensure stability and security in the region and presented the Armenian side's approaches to resolving the existing key issues,” the statement read.
During the conversation, the parties discussed issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the formation of international mechanisms for dialogue between Stepanakert and Baku, the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh caused by Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor, the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the unblocking of regional transport infrastructure.
It is noteworthy that Luis Bono arrived in Armenia on April 14 and after a series of meetings, he visited Azerbaijan on April 17 and met with Pashinyan today, April 20.
Earlier, he had a meeting with Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan.
